Getting Started with Location Following

Location Following is a vital tool for tracking and drilling into data within a specific location important to your organization. 

To start a search, choose an existing filter profile or choose a location from the location picker. This will return a list of municipalities and a count of new unread documents in each.
Please note that Location Following is intended to be used for a subset of locations - subscribing to all available locations would result in alert fatigue and/or unnecessary clutter.

To follow a location, click the star icon next to the municipality name. This will do two things:

1. Add this location to your default list of locations on the initial Location Following page (so you don’t need to search every time)
2. Allow you to receive alerts for new documents posted in this location

Expand the location to view all recently posted documents. This list is not filtered on topics - it returns anything that the municipality has posted. From here, you can open the original document or the Curated doc. Doing either of these actions will mark the document as read. To mark it as unread again to return to later, simply click the envelope icon next to the doc.
